The Massachusetts Haitian American Earthquake Task Force needs your support in their efforts to bring relief to the thousands of our fellow human beings affected by this month’s terrible earthquake disaster! As you know, if you read this blog regularly, I am totally and enthusiastically in favor of world music being employed as a catalyst of world-wide aide. The funds raised from this event will go to those organizations currently involved in Haitian earthquake relief efforts. Please, please help if you can, by attending this 6 hour event, even if just for a little while. You have part of both the afternoon and evening to fit it into your schedule if you can.
There will be lots of marvelous entertainment including international and national Haitian guest stars, gospel choirs, local world musicians, and child-oriented performances as well. Also on hand, will be literary and visual artists from the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts (HAAM) selling their works and donating the proceeds to this most important humanitarian cause.
